Our Story
John Dillard founded ThreatSwitch in January 2017…
But that’s NOT where our story began.
It started with John himself. Because after a long career at the CIA followed by time spent in defense, intelligence, forensic accounting, and technology… he noticed something. There wasn’t a comprehensive, simple-to-use, always up-to-date security solution anywhere.
Existing solutions were barely usable, cumbersome, and always behind the compliance curve.
This meant top enterprise companies were stuck...
Stuck using spreadsheets...
Stuck with stacks of folders and piles of paper...
Stuck in unnecessary meetings...
Stuck on repetitive time-wasting phone calls...
And stuck with full inboxes...
So John decided to act and founded ThreatSwitch so businesses finally had an all-in-one solution that WORKED, and the industry could finally rest in knowing they didn’t have to stay stuck.
And the rest… is history.

John Dillard
President
John is the Founder and CEO of ThreatSwitch, a software company focused on helping highly regulated companies comply with rapidly changing security regulations while minimizing costs and reducing risk.
John started his career at the CIA and has spent the remainder in defense, intelligence, forensic accounting, and technology. As ThreatSwitch's CEO, he is focused on helping senior security and compliance executives manage security risk, contain cost, and adapt to the rapidly changing security and regulatory landscape. John is possibly the worst fly fisherman in the eastern United States.
Kristen Race
Chief of Staff
Kristen is well versed in all areas of Operations. She enjoys the culture and fast pace of the company. Kristen is a long-distance runner and you can usually find her training for the latest endurance race.
Jim Snodgrass
Head of Engineering
Jim Snodgrass is the engineering lead at ThreatSwitch where he oversees software development and data security. Jim is a startup veteran with over 20 years of programming experience. He has a deep knowledge of every level of the software development lifecycle and specializes in building secure cloud-native systems. Jim travels the US competing in drone racing in his free time.

Jacques is an experienced executive who has been building Customer Success organizations for over 15 years. He's assisted thousands of users build value in their investments, and has worked tirelessly to build and expand relationships beyond solving initial use cases. He believes that building relationships and delivering an enriched customer experiences are the key to success.
When he's not coaching his team or working directly with customers he enjoys spending time in his shop, walking in the woods, and spending time with his children. If you're adventurous you may even find him out on a river, waving a stick, in hopes that he can entice a fat old trout to taste the business end of a fishing hook.

Pete Akeley works closely with customers to ensure that our product delivers real, measurable value while remaining incredibly easy to use. He has a proven track record in planning, building and launching successful high profile software solutions. Pete is an avid skier and on occasion you can find him sharpening his basketball skills at a local court.
